Architecture

"Architecture is a popular area of study, and although most of the architectural programs are aimed at producing professional architects -people who earn advanced academic degrees before they can begin to practice - there are related fields such as architectural design, history of architecture and many construction fields that are more easily accessible. Subjects studied in architecture courses divide roughly into three categories; the creative and design subjects such as building design, interior design and environmental design; the engineering subject such as structural engineering, environmental and building systems, and the project management skills areas such as financial and project management, quantity surveying etc. Increasingly there is an element of computing, as computer aided design is almost universally used in architecture and related design areas. Other subjects that can be included are history of architecture, the psychology of buildings and the environmental sciences."
