Presidential Scholars Announced for 2004

Amidst much negative publicity surrounding the state of the education system in the U.S., and the consternation that many have towards the new “No Child Left Behind” Act, there continues to be some positive focus placed on our students.

This year, like many before, America is reminded of its quality beneficiaries of our education system with the announcement of the Presidential Scholars. This prestigious program recognizes a male and female from each state, along with some at-large and arts awards.

Each child that wins an award is allowed to name the teacher that has been most influential to them, and bring that teacher to an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
