After scoring 21 points in the first half of a game, Terrence McGrady, nicknamed T-Mac, was informed that his fiancée was going into labor. McGrady raced from the sidelines before the game was over and went to a local hospital where nursing professionals were prepping his fiancée for delivery. The pair gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Layman. McGrady was for her every step of the way. Nursing professionals said that he gave a good degree of support to his soon-to-be wife.
T-Mac Doesn't Have a Nursing Degree
- Game Lost. After McGrady left the Rockets for his nursing duties, the team crumbled around him and lost convincingly to a Utah Jazz team that scored big while McGrady wasn't in the game.
- Getting the Call. McGrady got the call about his fiancée on the bench from one of the trainers of the Houston Rockets.
- No Blame Allowed. The Rocket's coach did not blame the loss on the absence of McGrady, but blamed it on the team's poor offense.
Even though Terrence McGrady doesn't have a nursing degree, he was still able to provide support to his fiancée during their delivery.
