Monster.com is one of largest online job posting sites. Thousands of employers post jobs on the site and thousands of people register their resumes with the company. If a person has a resume that matches nicely with a job, the two are put together by Monster. This site has been up and running for about a year and a half.

The site has become so large that it is now considered a contributing indicator of the overall job market in the U.S. In this CNN article, Monster reported that its employment index rose to 152 in February - the highest level in its history. The number was up two points from January's posting.

Analysts say that this could be a signal that employment is starting to catch up with the growth of the rest of the economy. Although the economy has been relatively healthy over the last year, employment has been lagging.
